The inconsistent use of "Definitive Edition" doesn't help either, especially with this Mafia collection. Each game uses it for a different reason. Mafia is a full remake/reimagining, Mafia II is a remaster (could probably even be just a port, since the visual differences are negligible), and Mafia III is just a re-release with DLC.

A mostly thorough remake of 2002's original, Mafia: Definitive Edition has its moments - but it struggles by the standards of today. Wailing jazz on the radio. Sumptuous, glossy cars on the road.
